Phosphorus Iron

The combination of high purity iron and 0.45% Phosphorus creates a powder that is highly compressible and allows extremely high density (up to 99% of theoretical density) to be achieved during the SGT sintering process. This creates a mechanically tough finished component with excellent magnetic properties (very high saturation).

This material combined with the SGT processes often provides an attractive alternative to more expensive, machined components, while providing the added benefit of improved part to part consistency.

SGT is currently in production with Phosphorus Iron components for very high volume automotive applications.
